Kent Taylor & Shelia Ryan with bit player Vera Marshe. She appeared at the beginning and ending of the film talking to a fellow male passenger. The fellow male passenger was Jason Robards Sr. He was a famous star in Hollywood from the 1910s into the 1940s although now, in 1949, only a bit player.

The killer, Abraham (Mickey) Knox, on the drawbridge to Terminal Island in the San Pedro Bay in Los Angeles. He should have died by being shot in the movie, and he should have fallen into the bay. But Robert Lippert, ever cheap, would not pay for a stunt man to do it. He always said ″Talk is cheap; action is expensive.″

Gil Kneiss with, I believe, WP officials (perhaps also from the studio). None were in the movie. I do not know why the camera was there. But, according to the Mileposts article, there was a meeting with WP officials including Arthur D. Thatcher, the head of WP railroad police. He may be one of the individuals.
