The museum received a call from the Quincy Parks and Recreation Wednesday July 12th, 2017 asking if we could donate some ties for their park restoration. On Saturday the 15th, Roadmaster Greg Elems checked in the balloon and found some old ties of dubious quality that we could spare. Greg called them Monday and talked to James Shipp who was glad to have them offered up. It turns out the winter was no more kind to the park department of Parks and Recreation in Quincy than it was our museum. So Greg met James and his helper Kyle Stone on Monday afternoon and they loaded up 11 ties.
