Gateway to the Feather River Canyon

Pre-registration for the 2026 Western Pacific Railroad Historical Convention is now open!

The convention will be held at the Feather Falls Lodge and Casino in Oroville, California. Oroville is the Gateway to the Feather River Canyon and was the Western Pacific's base for canyon operations. The city also features a Sacramento Northern branch, the Oroville Dam Railroad and various lumber and industrial railroads that fed traffic to the WP system.

There are 20 discount rooms available for the convention. The available rooms are:

Thursday, October 1^st
15 Deluxe King Rooms non-smoking: $117 + tax per night
5 Deluxe Double Queen Room, non-smoking: $126 + tax per night

Friday & Saturday, October 2^nd and 3^rd
15 Deluxe King Rooms non-smoking: $162 + tax per night
5 Deluxe Double Queen Room, non-smoking: $171 + tax per night

The group booking code is 2610WPLIVE. When you call to book a room, call 530.533.3885 and ask for The Lodge, or extension x7820. Provide the dates you want to stay and the group booking code or group name “Feather River Rail Society.” Feather Falls Lodge will hold a reservation with a major debit or credit card number—no advance payment required.

The room block will be held until August 20^th, 2026 After this date, any unclaimed rooms will be released back into the general inventory inventory for sale. If the lodge has availability after August 20^th, they will still honor the discounted rate for any last-minute reservations.

Check-in Time: 4pm.
Check-out Time: 11am.
Late checkout available upon request with an additional fee.
All rooms are equipped with a Microwave, Refrigerator, Coffee Machine, Iron, and Blow Dryer.
Roll-away beds are available upon request with additional fee of $10.
