Starting at 7:15 PM
FIRST COME-FIRST SERVED
and limited to 30 spaces only

Get a chance to photograph Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 and Western Pacific 0-6-0 165 together as the sun sets for the day. There will be 30 spaces only for this special event after the main Big Boy Celebration on Wednesday July 10, 2024.

Starting at 7:15 PM, participants will be able to photograph the Big Boy and WP 165 together from the viewing area, getting a chance to capture these Alco built locomotives as the light rolls from Golden Hour through Sunset into Blue Hour and finally Evening. The photo event will end at 9:30 PM. Sunset will occur at 8:31 PM.

As part of the event, a photography instructor will be on hand to help with questions and suggestions on how best to photograph the scenes. We will have artificial light available at various times using high wattage light plants, while other times we will rely on only natural light.

This event is FIRST COME-FIRST SERVED and limited to 30 spaces only.

The cost is $80 plus either a ticket to the event or an FRRS membership.

Those who buy tickets to the photo event will be allowed to stay after the event closes to the general public at 6:00 PM, or they can reenter the grounds between 6:45 PM and 7:00 PM if they have previously left and do not return before 6:00 PM.
